President

As President, Brian Walker leads NAI Burns Scalo’s high-growth-focused mission to extend the reach of the firm’s fully integrated professional real estate services with an eye on national exposure and expansion. He also leads Burns Scalo Equities, where he is responsible for aligning with new strategic partners as a sponsor with the ability to contribute immediate equity.

Walker also serves as the Chair-Elect on the Corporate Board of Directors for NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association. NAIOP is the world’s largest organization for developers, owners, and related professionals in office, industrial, multifamily, and mixed-use real estate. In October 2023, Walker will assume the position of Chairman of the Board, where he will continue to advance responsible commercial real estate development and advocate for effective public policy.

Before joining NAI Burns Scalo, Walker spent 18 years as CFO of Piatt Companies, formerly Millcraft Investments, where he was directly responsible for the organization’s overall financial management, strategic planning, and growth, as well as serving the board as Secretary and Treasurer. In 2008 and again in 2016, Walker was named Pittsburgh Business Times CFO of the Year for his exceptional work redeveloping the downtown Pittsburgh skyline.

Before joining Millcraft in 2005, Walker was a partner in a Pittsburgh CPA firm specializing in tax, accounting, and consulting services, allowing him to bring a unique business perspective, extensive operating experience, and financial management to every project he touches.
