Burns Scalo Completes 33,000 SF Office Renovation for Hope Gas in West Virginia

MORGANTOWN, WV – Burns Scalo Real Estate (BSRE), Pittsburgh’s leading privately owned commercial real estate firm, today announced its project and construction management team had completed a full, two-floor, interior office renovation for Hope Gas within the WVU Allied Health Innovation Center — a lease that was consulted on by BSRE Corporate Advisory Services late 2022.

Founded in 1898, Hope Gas is now one of the largest local natural gas distribution companies (“LDCs”) in West Virginia. With approximately 3,200 miles of main and 2,000 miles of gathering pipes, serving over 111,000 residential, commercial, and industrial customers across 35 counties.

The 33,000-square-foot office renovation is one of many construction projects BSRE has in its pipeline since it announced its Expansion & Diversification Plan and that it is “now for hire” earlier this year. The project was led by BSRE’s Project Manager Nick Carr, with support from Senior Project Manager, Braden Rowse. “We’re seeing a major flight to quality and increase in office renovations as employees return to working in person, which has been a major driver in growing our third-party services,” said Steve Whittingham, BSRE Vice President of Development.

The renovation prioritizes socialization areas to bring employees together and warmly welcome clients, including multiple cafés that feature a coffee bar, pantry, and a variety of seating options, a modernized client reception area, and three conference rooms of various sizes.
